Carolinas Communication Association congratulates Dr. Nina-Jo Moore, recipient of the 2018 Betty Jo Welch Award. The Welch Award is given annually to a professor who has demonstrated continuing and outstanding service to the association and the professions.

This year’s recipient, Dr. Moore, currently serves as Professor of Communication Studies at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She is a member of Carolinas Communication Association and the National Communication Association. Jean DeHart, who presented the award, noted Dr. Moore’s years of service as the welcoming presence of CCA who inspired many members to join and continue returning to CCA year after year.
