FROM THE PRESIDENT
Taking a Daily Constitutional
By Jason B. Munsell, CCA President
I love to walk.  I don’t like to run, but I do it anyway.  But this brief article has nothing to do with a daily constitutional, but rather thinking daily about our CCA Constitution. Early on in my presidency, I decided that updating and expanding our CCA Constitution would be my main goal during my year of service.  I have loads of classified documents in my bathroom on the subject.  There are some obvious ways we need to update our CCA Constitution (like making sure all awards we give are actually in there), but I also want to better align us with disciplinary regional organizations when it comes to association efforts on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as marketing and resource endeavors.  I have appointed an ad hoc Constitution Committee (since we don’t have one) to study our current CCA Constitution and offer possible amendments.

I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone in Greensboro this September.  Our First Vice President, Jenni Simon, has been extraordinarily busy putting the final touches on our 2023 annual conference.  As most folks know, conferences don’t just plan themselves.  There is so much behind the scenes work, so much minutia, so much stress!  It will be a spectacular conference in Greensboro.  And I know that because I’m a stable genius.
