The James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte seeks an energetic, collaborative faculty member who will contribute to the student experience and the School in a one‐year contract to teach courses in its undergraduate and graduate programs. This position begins August 15, 2018.
The School operates with an endowment from the Knight Foundation and its mission is to prepare consumers and creators of communication messages to become engaged citizens, advocates and leaders in the communities they serve. It offers undergraduate majors in communicationand multimedia storytelling, as well as minors in the areas of organizational, health, and sports communication, media studies and popular culture, and journalism. In addition, the School supports a Master of Arts degree in communication in both campus and online platforms.
We welcome applicants with a broad range of communication knowledge and experience who can contribute across Queens’ undergraduate and graduate curriculum areas, but especially invite those who can offer expertise in at least one of the following areas: strategic communication, journalism or social/digital media.
