Here is important information about accommodations for the
conference from Charmaine Wilson:
Our meetings will be at the beautiful and historic Rose Hill Estate,
just two blocks from the heart of downtown Aiken. See their website
• The first option for a place to stay is right at Rose Hill.
They have nine lovely rooms and I’m told the breakfast is excellent.
These rooms are a little more pricey (Aiken is rather expensive),
and because this is a B and B in an old estate, some rooms involve
sharing a bath or walking across the hall to access a bath. Still,
the place is awesome. I will be staying there, as will our keynote
speaker, Dr. Betsy W. Bach. Please call me about staying at Rose
Hill: 803.645.8463 or 803.641.3546.
• The second option is also a B and B, right downtown and just
a block or so from the conference venue—an easy walk. The Carriage
House Inn offers lovely rooms in the main house, or in a detached
building, and again, breakfast is included. You can learn more by
www.aikencarriagehouse.com. To reserve a room at the conference
rate (from about $110 to $150, double occupancy, which includes
breakfast and tax), you must call the Carriage House directly and
ask for the CCA rate: 803.644.5888. There is a per person charge of
$15 for each additional person.
